Dr. Michael Barnes brings over 30 years of experience in education to his role as Executive
Director of the CyberSafely Foundation. He has served as a teacher, principal,
superintendent, and is currently President of the Buckeye Association of School
Administrators (BASA). Nationally recognized for his work in educational leadership and
digital citizenship, Dr. Barnes is also an author and keynote speaker.
He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and is known for his focus on equity,
student advocacy, and creating safe digital environments. In his new role, he will lead
CyberSafely’s mission to empower students, families, and schools to navigate the digital
world safely and responsibly.
Neal Alexander is a serial entrepreneur whose success across multiple industries has given him the freedom to focus on mission-driven ventures that create real impact.
As the founder of CyberSafely.ai, Neal has leveraged AI technology to protect children from social media risks by empowering parents with real-time alerts and insights. Partnering with school districts nationwide and government grant programs, he is driving efforts to make this critical tool accessible to every family, ensuring parents are aware of the digital dangers their children face.
His work continues to bridge technology and social impact, creating solutions that safeguard lives and foster a safer digital future.
Phil Callaghan has spent over 40 years in education, serving as a math teacher, assistant principal, athletic director, and coach in multiple sports. Early in his career, he developed an innovative drug and alcohol program that replaced punishment with education, assessment, and treatment—a model later expanded to the entire student body when he became assistant principal. He also created a support program for at-risk high school students, reflecting his long-standing commitment to student well-being and development.
In addition to his educational work, Phil founded the MoMM Foundation (Miracles of Mom’s Memory), a nonprofit dedicated to serving the poor and homeless in memory of loved ones. He led the organization for 20 years and now serves as Director Emeritus, with a community of over 2,500 people involved. Phil and his wife Marybeth, a retired teacher, have raised three children, two of whom now work in education. He was inducted into the OHSBCA Hall of Fame in 2003 and continues to teach math at Olentangy Berlin High School, driven by his passion for helping young people reach their full potential.
