Phil Callaghan

Phil Callaghan has spent over 40 years in education, serving as a math teacher, assistant principal, athletic director, and coach in multiple sports. Early in his career, he developed an innovative drug and alcohol program that replaced punishment with education, assessment, and treatment—a model later expanded to the entire student body when he became assistant principal. In addition to his educational work, Phil founded the MoMM Foundation (Miracles of Mom’s Memory), a nonprofit dedicated to serving the poor and homeless in memory of loved ones. He led the organization for 20 years and now serves as Director Emeritus, with a community of over 2,500 people involved. Phil and his wife Marybeth, a retired teacher, have raised three children, two of whom now work in education. He was inducted into the OHSBCA Hall of Fame in 2003 and continues to teach math at Olentangy Berlin High School, driven by his passion for helping young people reach their full potential.
